Shala Darpan Internship 2026: Choice Filling & Allotment
If you are doing B.Ed, D.El.Ed or an integrated B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed in Rajasthan, your school internship is not arranged by your college alone. It runs through the Shala Darpan Internship portal, where you pick government schools, lock your choices, and download your allotment letter. Miss a window and you can end up without a school for the whole phase.
This guide explains how the Shala Darpan internship works, what is open right now, and how to check your allotment status, step by step.
Current window (as shown on the official portal): Second-phase choice fill and lock is open from 05-10-2026 to 15-10-2026 for D.El.Ed Second Year, D.El.Ed ALP Bhasha Second Year, and B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed Third Year trainees. Always confirm dates in the portal’s News section before acting.
What Is the Shala Darpan Internship Portal?
The Shala Darpan Internship module is part of Integrated Shala Darpan, the school education portal of the Government of Rajasthan. It was developed by NIC Rajasthan, with content and data provided by the Rajasthan Council of School Education (RCScE), Shiksha Sankul, Jaipur.
The portal matches teacher trainees from approved teacher-education institutions with government schools that have internship vacancies. Its home page currently shows 1,666 participating institutes and more than 6.38 lakh beneficiaries so far, which makes it one of the largest teacher-internship systems in the country.
Who it covers: the portal’s course list includes:
- B.Ed.
- B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. (integrated)
- B.Ed. M.Ed. and M.Sc. B.Ed.
- D.El.Ed. (formerly BSTC) and D.El.Ed. ALP Bhasha
How the Shala Darpan Internship Process Works
The process involves three parties, and each has its own login: the Institute (your college), the Candidate (you), and the Office/School (the education department side).
- College updates its profile and registers trainees. Each year the department asks teacher-training colleges to update their profiles (the 2026 deadline was 30 July 2026). Your college registers you through Institute Login. You cannot self-register.
- You receive candidate credentials. Your username and password come through your college.
- Choice filling and locking. When your course’s phase opens, log in through Candidate Login, select preferred schools from the vacancy list, and lock your choices. Unlocked choices may not be considered.
- Allotment. The system allots schools based on your locked choices and available vacancies.
- Allotment letter and joining. Download your allotment letter and report to the allotted school with it.
- Completion and certificate. After the internship, the portal records completion, and the allotment-status page includes an Internship Certificate view.
Phases and “Reopen” Windows
Internships run in phases (first phase and second phase), and colleges are placed in a phase by the department. After each allotment, the portal usually reopens for a few days for trainees who were left without a school. Look at the 2025-26 cycle on the official news board:
| Date window | Who it was for |
|---|---|
| 06-10-2025 to 15-10-2025 (extended to 20-10-2025) | First phase: B.Ed 2nd Year, B.Ed-M.Ed 2nd Year, B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed 4th Year |
| 01-12-2025 to 10-12-2025 | Second phase: B.Ed 2nd Year, B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed 4th Year |
| 01-01-2026 to 10-01-2026 | First phase: B.Ed 1st Year, B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed 3rd Year, D.El.Ed 2nd Year |
| 01-03-2026 to 10-03-2026 | Second phase: B.Ed 1st Year, B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed 3rd Year, B.Ed-M.Ed 1st Year, D.El.Ed 1st Year |
| 14/19/27 March 2026 (short windows) | Final chances for unallotted trainees |
| 05-10-2026 to 15-10-2026 | Second phase: D.El.Ed 2nd Year, B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed 3rd Year (current) |
The lesson: windows are short (often just 3–4 days for reopenings), and the department repeatedly states that responsibility for missed choices lies with the trainee and the college.
How to Fill Choices on the Shala Darpan Internship Portal
- Open rajshaladarpan.rajasthan.gov.in and go to the Internship portal (also linked from the Shala Darpan home page).
- Click Candidate Login in the top menu.
- Enter your User Name, Password and the captcha, then log in.
- Open the choice-filling section and pick schools from the available vacancy list (you can check the public Vacancy List menu in advance).
- Review your preferences carefully, then Lock them before the last date.
- Log out and note the date. Allotment results appear after processing.
Tip: Choose schools you can actually reach daily. A nearby school with vacancies is better than a “famous” school you can’t commute to for weeks.
How to Check Shala Darpan Internship Allotment Status
You can check it two ways.
Option A: Public Allotment Status (no login)
- On the Internship portal, click Allotment Status in the menu.
- Select your District and Course.
- Enter your Institute Name, choose your Admission Session, and type your Candidate Name.
- Fill the captcha and search.
The result shows your registration and choice-fill status, plus the allotted school once allotment is done.
Option B: Through Candidate Login
Log in with your credentials to see your allotted school and download your allotment letter. Print it right away and keep a PDF copy on your phone.
The menu also has Request Status, useful for tracking a pending request.
Changing Your Allotted School
According to an official portal notice (29 October 2025), a trainee can change the allotted school only once, only through Candidate Login, and only within the available vacancies. The portal links a tutorial video for this. Use the option only if you truly need it, since there is no second change.
Forgot Username or Password?
The Candidate Login page offers two self-help links:
- Forgot Password: reset your candidate password.
- Search Username: find your username if you have lost it.
If neither works, your college is the first point of contact, since it registered you. If the portal shows an “already logged in” notice, log out or close the browser fully, then log in again.
Common Problems and Fixes
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Name not found / not registered | Your college hasn’t registered you or locked your data. Contact the college immediately; only the Institute Login can fix this. |
| Missed the choice-filling dates | Watch the portal’s News section for a reopen window for unallotted trainees. These are short, so check daily. |
| No school allotted | Usually means choices weren’t locked or chosen schools had no vacancy. Refill during the reopen window with wider choices. |
| Captcha or login errors | Refresh the captcha, use an updated browser, or try a private window. |
| Wrong course or details | Ask your college to correct your profile through Institute Login. |

Important Tips for Trainees
- Keep in touch with your college. It registers you, updates your profile and gets the department’s notices first.
- Check the News section regularly. Every reopen window and extension is published there.
- Lock your choices. Filling without locking is the most common reason for “no allotment.”
- Save everything: username, password, allotment letter and certificate.
- Use only the official portal. Many private sites copy the Shala Darpan name; never pay anyone for “internship allotment.”
